Paul Dueffert is a Harvard Law alum who spent almost 30 years at the premier firm of Williams & Connolly, after a federal appellate court clerkship. 

Tom Gilbertsen is a Cornell Law grad and veteran of prominent DC firms Howrey LLP and Venable LLP.

Both of us come from working class backgrounds -- we are scrappy, indefatigable, and know the value of hard work.  We have successfully handled scores of major litigation matters before juries and judges, and favorably resolved investigation and enforcement actions by state and federal government agencies.

Our goal is to resolve difficult legal problems with focus, smarts, and agility.  We are big on timely communication and preventing surprises, and pride ourselves on being responsive, efficient, and effective. 

Beyond our trial practice, we handle complex arbitrations and mediations, and argue appeals before state and federal tribunals throughout the country.  While many of our clients are large corporations, we also champion the cause of individuals facing difficult legal problems.  While we love the fight, our focus is always on the client’s needs.  We know how to manage a crisis and negotiate good outcomes if the time is right.
